Background For The Initiative

When a restaurant loses business, it doesn’t only affect the owners. In the US alone, the restaurant industry employs 13.5 million people – nearly 1 in 12 of the total US workforce. So when the industry as a whole is hit as hard as it has been through this COVID-19 pandemic, it affects not only the staff and owners of the restaurant. It causes a spiraling effect where industries like produce manufacturers and other vendors to restaurants are affected, and the vendors’ vendors, and so on. Looking at the complete picture we’re talking about much more than our favorite restaurant closing down – we’re talking about millions of lives being affected. So at CaterTouch we decided to start at the top and create an initiative to support restaurants in need.

Restaurants listed on this website have either been submitted by the restaurant owners or by people who care about their local restaurants. You an support the restaurants in the following ways:

Share this website with everyone you know so we can provide more support to the restaurants that need it

We don’t take any commission or fees for listing a restaurants or orders made to that restaurant. It all goes directly to them as you are ordering through their own portals.

Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of CaterTouch, LLC. CaterTouch, LLC will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of We Love Our Restaurants.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

CaterTouch, LLC will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

CaterTouch, LLC will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of CaterTouch, LLC.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for the We Love Our Restaurants cause or for CaterTouch, LLC.

CaterTouch, LLC will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by We Love Our Restaurants/CaterTouch, LLC.

We Love Our Restaurants will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, We Love Our Restaurants will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

Neither CaterTouch, LLC or We Love Our Restaurants will compensate, whether through commissions, finders’ fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the We Love Our Restaurants.
